BUNA N, NEOPRENE, EP, SILICONE, VITON, URETHANE are the most common rubber materials used for gaskets. Rubber is classified by ASTM D-2000 or SAE J-200 specifications. PS&E can provide these rubbers and all other rubber materials in thickness from .008 through 2 inches. |

The kinds of rubber described above can be combined on one or both sides of fabric such as dacron, nylon, Nomex, cotton and wool. The fabric-rubber sandwich can be plied to any thickness. Thickness availability runs from .004 through 1 inch. |

Sponge rubber is available as open or closed cell and is made from the materials designations. Both open and closed cell sponges can be made in thickness from 1/32 through 6 inches. |
